Starting his career as a storyboard artist, Mark has always had a strong passion for comedy and heartfelt visual storytelling. Working on projects like CLONE HIGH, TEN LIVES, BACK TO THE OUTBACK, and, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, he formed an unconscious habit of revamping scenes to add humor or solve visual story problems.

 

In 2018, while boarding on THE WILLOUGHBYS, this initiative led to him being asked by writer/director Kris Pearn to do a full rewrite of the script which earned him a ‘Screenplay By’ credit, a spot in the Writers Guild of Canada and a nomination for best feature at the 2021 WGC screenwriting awards. His original pilot FLY was optioned and developed by Bron Studios, then later Sony Pictures Animation, which got him signed by United Talent Agency.

 

He’s continued working with Kris Pearn and Sony Animation on multiple writing projects as well as penning an episode of the upcoming adult animated series SUPER TEAM CANADA created by Emmy-winning writers, and producers: Robert and Joel H. Cohen.

 

His mom thinks he's a super talented guy and she's very proud of him.
